Eugenics was the racist pseudoscience determined to wipe away all human beings deemed "unfit," preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype.

Why?

Eugenics was a science that had 'evidence' to back up race theories and racist ideas. It was best known as the tool Hitler used to 'prove' that certain races were inferior to others during WW2. This article is saying that not many people know this, but Eugenics was actually an idea that originated in the USA, more specifically California, decades before WW2. It then goes on to prove the exact origin of Eugenics, even being able to trace donations that had been made by Rockefeller and Carnegie.

In early September, math teachers in Maryland gathered for their first professional learning community meeting. The teachers were gathering to discuss a new teaching style, called 'coherence', that came with the new Common Core Standards. Common Core made it so math must be stretched and connected across all different grade levels, hence the new 'coherent' teaching style.
